MCC Soccer Adds More Local Talent

The Meridian Community College soccer program continued to build a successful recruiting class for the upcoming 2013 season by adding more players from the West Lauderdale soccer program.

The MCC men’s squad inked Jesse Byrd, while the Lady Eagles added twin sisters Kaylyn and Megan Stewart.

“It was another phenomenal day for the Eagles,” said MCC soccer coach Alex George.

MCC has now added a total of seven players from the West Lauderdale boys team to its signing class and the MCC women have now inked a pair of Lady Knights to its squad for next season.

All three players played a major role in Class 4A State Championship appearances for both programs at West Lauderdale High School.
