MCC splits scrimmage with Delta State

(MERIDIAN) - The Meridian Community College soccer teams hosted Delta State University on Wednesday for a scrimmage at C.D. Smith Field.

The Lady Eagles defeated Delta State 3-1 in their scrimmage game, freshman Paige Stewart scored one goal while sophomore Kelsey Edwards scored two goals.

In the men’s game, the Eagles fell 2-1 to Delta State. Sophomore Leon Powell scored MCC’s lone goal.

MCC women’s match scheduled for tomorrow versus Holmes Community College has been cancelled and the me will move the their match with Holmes to the 2 pm slot on Friday.

The MCC v. Holmes men’s game will be played at C.D. Smith Field.
